OUTLIER Studio Pty Ltd collects personal information to assess project applications, respond to enquiries and provide agreed design services.

What we collect

When you apply, we collect your name, contact details, role, project location, brief, budget, timing and the documents you choose to send. Please avoid sending identity documents, financial account details or sensitive personal information. If you provide another person’s information, make sure you have their permission.

Required fields help us understand and respond to the project. Optional fields and attachments can be left blank. The application service also uses a hashed network address and submission time to help prevent abuse. Hosting security logs may record network addresses and request information.

How we use and share it

We use applications to assess suitability and contact you about your project. We do not sell personal information or subscribe applicants to marketing. We discuss referrals with you before passing details to a builder. For an agreed project, relevant information may be shared with appointed consultants and the project team.

Our website is hosted by Render in Singapore, where submitted application records are stored. Application notifications and acknowledgements are handled through Google Workspace. These providers process information on our behalf, and processing may also occur in other countries. You can request further information about the services used through the privacy enquiry below. Links to YouTube, Panel Haus and other external websites are governed by those websites’ privacy practices.

Storage and retention

Application records are stored separately from public website files, with access restricted to authorised people and service providers. Unsuccessful applications are retained for 12 months from submission, then deleted unless discussions remain active or there is a legal reason to retain them. Project records are retained for the applicable professional, contractual and legal requirements. Deletion includes a review of correspondence and attachments; backup copies are removed through the backup retention cycle.

Access, correction and privacy enquiries

You can ask what information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern below. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing or changing records. Please describe the request without including sensitive documents. We will review it and explain the outcome and any limits that apply. If a concern remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

These details are used only to respond to and keep a record of your privacy request.
